Initially intending to specialize in acute leukemias and bone marrow transplants, Joanna Rhodes, MD, MSCE, became drawn to the chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) field after spending time in a CLL clinic and meeting patients at different stages of their journey.
Subsequent experience in the clinic led to a career in clinical research in CLL in order to improve treatment outcomes with targeted agents.
