Business: Adzo London an exquisite beaded jewellery collection ranging from chokers, necklaces, bracelets, brooches and the exquisite tiaras. A bespoke jewellery service is available which also includes re-designing and restoring jewellery pieces.

Passion: Exclusively designing and creating.

Background: Adzo is my Ghanaian name which translates as ‘Monday born’, which I regard as the day of a new start, an injection of a fresh zest, a perfect start to days of successful business interaction. I began making beaded jewellery shortly after my 22nd birthday (I’m now 23!), my friends and I went shopping for a birthday outfit and I found bracelets to match however I knew I could make something to a higher standard so I got some raw materials together and started working, soon I was getting compliments and support around the university; eventually I began developing my own style through my designs and orders started flooding in.

I have always been very creative, this coupled with determination makes self-employment very suitable for me. Since joining Launchpad I have been given the opportunity to identify my strengths, refine my skills, focus my ideas in order to produce a formal business plan which is a solid foundation to my business.

Launchpad has proved itself as a fountain of knowledge as I have been given the opportunity to develop my business skill and expand my vision beyond my dreams. If you are considering becoming self-employed and need advice and direction this is definitely the place for you.

I believe that the flair I have for designing is a gift and this needs to be shared, with each new piece I design comes a new lease of confidence, professionalism and inspiration; qualities which Launchpad offer with their services.

The concept of Adzo is centred around being ‘alive’ – alive is reminiscent of the colours and the textiles which one experiences in the pattern of life. Adzo reflects these dynamics in the extraordinary pieces and with vibrancy and style Adzo is certainly alive!
