At various venues within the borough, we run workshops that are designed to uniquely raise your awareness of Enterprise and self-employment as a lifestyle choice. The workshops give you a chance to have some fun in a relaxed, easy atmosphere and chat to others who might be at the same stage as you. The sessions are action-packed and there's always a good laugh to be had.

As a result you will be able to understand and use the creative thinking process called 'brainstorming'; understand, and be able to use, the ideas evaluation process; familiarise yourself with the characteristics typically exhibited by entrepreneurs and gain a clear idea of what to do next from your own action plan.

You will also get the opportunity to explore your ideas, interests and hobbies with the possibility of turning them into a business. Your ideas can be as creative and wacky as you feel, because until they are tried, ideas should not be judged. You will not only begin to know more about business, but also learn and gain skills and knowledge that will be useful for anything you do! You will better understand how developing your creativity and a pro-active enterprising spirit can help you seek out better opportunities and make positive things happen.

A typical workshop usually lasts for 1 - 1 1/2 hours consisting of group discussions, fun exercises, activities, and visual aids such as videos and guest speakers. You will participate in group exercises and activities that will help you become more enterprising through skills such as communication, listening and creative thinking.

The workshops are FREE so come along, you’ve nothing to lose and everything to gain!

We’re always looking for new and safe venues so as soon as we’ve got it all sorted it’ll get posted up so… watch this space for the final details, yeah? Wherever it is, it’ll be another fantastic opportunity to meet up with some new guys and discuss what’s new and happening around locally. We’re always looking for fresh ideas and Philip will be doing some great new communication games and brain teasers – so bring your brain along – it might help!! What else, oh yeah there’ll be the usual daft jokes, great laughs and of course – free food and drinks. So come along bring a mate – everybody’s welcome, the more the merrier, so don’t miss out!

See contact details below.  These sessions are completely confidential and at your own discretion, taking place at our centre in Tooting or at a local destination that   suits you. These sessions can continue until you feel you are ready to start working on a business plan. Where you do you will be invited to join our business support programme. You will meet other people at a similar stage as you in setting up their own business and begin work with one of our designated Business Counsellors.
